The personal background of your tour guide, Tashi Phuntsok, is of special significance to our company. He is an Amdo Tibetan, who was born and raised in Amdo, in Qinghai province. He is completely familiar with the region and its cultural and historical background. He was also a Tibetan Buddhist monk for 15 years in various locations, and thus has an intimate understanding of the inner workings of the Tibetan Buddhist faith and a familiarity with and contacts at numerous monasteries. He has been a professional Tibetan Tour and Trekking Guide throughout these regions for the last four years. Therefore, whether you are interested more in the cultural, spiritual, or adventure aspect of your journey, his personal skills and abilities can only enhance the quality of your trip.
